First up was Cork based musical duo called YOUNG WONDER... The following film shows a day in the life of an Irish act from Hanging out/Studio/Sound check to Live gig.

Today in conjunction with Culture Night is the official launch of the TANK Collective project - engage...

The quote here is taken from fello Kilkenny man, George Berkeley's "An Essay Towards a New Theory of Vision" (1709)... George has also lends his name to building directly behind this one as you Trinity heads might know as the Berkeley Library.

Nialler9 - Minimum Maximum

So for some reason (If Facebook is anything to go by it was a nice little holiday) the lads from Le Tissier couldn't provide visuals on the Saturday the 15th, However, they had built a lovely set up of Umbrellas painted white to use as a screen. So I was drafted in to slap some pixel goodness onto them.

Lucky for me, first act of the night was Bantum, so that got me well into the swing of things. I have to say, the night was a total blast. Right in the middle of Dublins Temple Bar, yet with the feeling of forest rave in Laois.

It was by far the longest visuals set I've ever done, clocking in at nearly 6 hours, sweat was rolling out from under my hat and onto the APC, and trying to react to the bangers being laid up by LeGalaxie DJs at the end of the night put the fingers under some serious pressure.

All in all a fantastic night, with the Le Tissier boys back in action for the next two weeks, of which I'm annoyed I'll be missing. So if you wanna get down check out the links here

Portable - Fashion on Film : Sydney

posted 22 Aug 2012 04:23 by Paul Mahon   [ updated 22 Aug 2012 06:18 ]

Today "Storm in a Teacup" pops its international cherry at an event curated by Portable at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Sydney. Wish I could be there, Mingle with the hotties and all that. After all it is why I decided to make a fashion film.
However it was making this film that I got my own little hottie, Zoe Wong (Fashion Designer and Owner of Horse & June). It is her majestic dresses that are the centre point of Storm in a Teacups fashion section, Which are beautifully modelled by Naomi Coyle and dancer Lisa Tighe.

Its amazing when this sort of stuff happens and it is a delight to have the project picked up purely for what it is and not where it's from or who it's from. So thanks to all who have helped me out so far on past and future projects.
